The Chat
Everything you need to know about my Rocket.Chat: how to read or take part, which apps are available and what to keep in mind when uploading images and videos.
What kind of chat is this?
The Chat basiert auf Rocket.Chat, einer Open-Source-Chatlösung. Er läuft als selbst verwaltete Installation auf meinem eigenen Chat-Server.
This means that user accounts, messages and uploaded images and videos are stored on this system rather than with an external chat provider.
How can you take part?
You can use the chat directly in your browser, including via the live-stream page. Rocket.Chat is also available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
As a guest you can read along. To participate actively, you need to sign in.
Messages, images, videos and other content in public chat rooms are automatically deleted after 30 days. Files uploaded publicly can be downloaded by other participants.
Registration & Sign-in
A valid email address is required for registration. It is used to verify the account and to recover a forgotten password. Your email address is not publicly visible in the chat.
Explainer Video
The video shows the registration process and the most important chat functions.
